Punta Gorda Isles (PGI)
The Isles are located on a system of deep saltwater canals that provide the homeowners with quick access to Charlotte Harbor.
PGI is a deed-restricted community with city water and sewers. All the canal lots have concrete seawalls. The seawalls and canals are maintained by the city for a $250 line item on the annual tax bill - a terrific deal! PGI is a well-manicured, upscale community. The canal system was designed to provide the vast majority of homesites with unobstructed boating access. The combination of no bridges and deep-water canals with access to Charlotte Harbor with over 100 square miles of open water creates a sailor's paradise.
Punta Gorda Isles has some of Florida's finest waterfront properties. Here you can find well-built exquisitely designed homes constructed using top-shelf materials. Homes in this class are available in Naples and Sarasota for 3-5 times the price! There is a private golf club, St. Andrews Golf Club, as well as a yacht club. Prices for single-family waterfront homes in Punta Gorda start in the mid-$400,000s with some very special homes priced upwards to $4 Million.
If you're looking for a condo or villa, PGI has a good selection. Several have river views. Many come with a deeded boat dock. Conveniences such as garage parking and in-unit washer and dryer are common. Condo prices range from around mid-$200,000 to nearly $1,000,000.
