Manasota Key  

If you want to walk the beach and eat in Gulf-front restaurants, then Manasota Key is one place that you need to check out. The southern end is in Charlotte County.

The northern end is in Sarasota County. You'll find a mix of property types to meet your needs, from quaint beachside villas to exquisite Gulf-front estates.

The northern end of Manasota Key boasts some of the world's finest homes. Often hidden from the road behind lush tropical landscaping, emerald green water, and white sandy beaches. The main road on the island is lightly traveled. There is a beautiful and under-utilized public beach. In some areas the lush vegetation crowds the road.

This is simply a wonderful section of Florida.

The entire barrier island of Manasota Key has uncrowded white sandy beaches. There are several public beaches with a state park at Stump Pass on the southern end. Manasota Key is one of the few areas of coastal Florida where high-rise hotels and condos don't monopolize the landscape. There are a number of low- and mid-rise condos as well as duplexes that are perfect winter retreats.

The southern tip, just north of Stump Pass has a number of short canals that provide quick access to Lemon Bay and the Gulf of Mexico
