  Here you can find a gated community with all the amenities including boat slips (when available) with harbor access: the lovely condominium community of Rolls Landing. The Rolls Landing units are priced in the upper $100Ks.  Kings Gate is a 55 and over gated golf course community with club house. This community has single family homes starting in the low $200Ks.

If gated is not your cup of tea, Charlotte Harbor has multi-acre estates. Many of these large homesites boast large executive homes, many with multiple outbuildings. It's a perfect area for horses, close in to town, but with that way-out-in-the-country feeling. The home prices range upward from $400K.
